Dekmantel is one of the most leading electronic music festivals in the world. Its forest-like terrain is large enough to hold eight stages and over a hundred acts. Who doesn’t remember Young Marco’s famous Boiler Room from last year, which catapulted him into stardom? He curates his own stage at Dekmantel this year, with popping names like Sarkawt Hamad and Torus, next to DJs like Woody92, Donato Dozzy, Yazzus, Gabrielle Kwarteng & Isabella, Mama Snake, Interplanetary Criminal, and many, many others absolutely destroying the other stages.
Solar Festival is unique in its playful and feisty approach. Expect chaos in the best way possible. The lineup gets better every year: Bad Gyals Club, 999999999, Klangkuenstler, FS Green, De Schuurman, and live acts like Gotu Jim and Joost sure know how to get the party started. That’s just the beginning because Solar’s program is stacked with parties in every corner of their terrain. Yes, that includes the camping site, where there’s no time for rest.
You can’t go wrong with a name like that. The category is amapiano, tech house, and spoken word, so Rotterdam is in for a treat this weekend. Frenna Deluxe headlines the main stage, which will undoubtedly be a set bursting with energy. Tani J, Henry X, and Doulou keep you dancing on the Amapiano stage, so all the ingredients for a fun festival day at the park are there.
Two forces combined: Motionz teams up with Unruled to bring you an immersive techno experience. ‘A sensory journey transporting you into another realm’, in their own words. The lineup is nothing short of ruthless, as acts like ANXHELA, Cynthia Spiering, LENA, and APHØTIC don’t shy away from high BPMs and loud kicks. Make sure to bring your earplugs and sunglasses for this one!
This beloved queer party takes over Thuishaven to celebrate Amsterdam Pride, with DJ Pure on the RRFM X IsBurning stage, plus other local and international DJs making b2b debuts.
Karren Maar Festival is Reinier Zonneveld’s brainchild. For the first edition, the techno giant takes over the main stage all day, all by himself. Is this an attempt to play his longest-ever set and an attempt to attain the world record for the longest live set ever? You bet. His imprint Filth On Acid hosts the second stage, so acid techno lovers, eat your heart out.
Events collective & record label Happy Feelings takes over Groningen’s Graanfabriek this Saturday, with a spicy stage takeover on the menu. Groningen’s own Palla D’uovo brings DJs like Coco Coquelicot and Iris Rijskamp for the grooviest Italo disco and synth-riddled music in the game. Cincity, Michel De Hey, and many others join the lineup carefully curated to send you home with tired feet and new friends.
Radion invites Berlin’s queer club concept Gegen for a takeover this weekend. The literal translation of Gegen is ‘against’, giving youth culture a new voice. The lineup is stacked with DJs who take techno to a new level. AIDA-ARKO brings her significant dark sounds next to techno icon Ellen Allien and the energetic acid techno selector Esther Dune. Come with an open mind, and leave with new convictions.
