Lisa Nilsson

Ten evenings with one of Sweden’s most beloved voices. Lisa Nilsson returns to her childhood jazz club Fasching, with a band full of all-star musicians and an album that Aftonbladet calls “some of the most inspired” work she has ever done.

“For me, Fasching is part of my upbringing. My parents have had it as a recurring home stage throughout their lives and have also served on the board at times. That ‘dad’s workplace’ feeling never really goes away. I celebrated my 12th birthday there one August evening in 1982 when Monica Zetterlund was performing. In the 90s, I became part of the Blacknuss collective, and on the Fasching stage I have since been given the space to explore my own artistry and musicianship, which has been of great importance to my development and liberation.”
