Sven Cilliers is a South African-born artist based in the Netherlands. His music blends contemporary pop with a nostalgic undertone, featuring warm, cinematic productions, strong melodies and personal stories about love, friendship, freedom and the search for a place that feels like home.From the age of fifteen, Cilliers built up his audience in his own unique way: in the queues outside venues such as Paradiso and the Ziggo Dome. With his so-called ‘lineshows’, he turned waiting concert-goers into his first audience. These spontaneous performances subsequently found their way online to an ever-growing community.He has since released a series of his own singles and has opened for acts at Paradiso on several occasions. In January, he returns, for the first time with his own headline show.
