The Tubs are a Welsh indie rock band from Cardiff who demonstrate how their light-hearted jangle-pop also ventures into darker and more personal territory on their second album, ‘Cotton Crown’. On this album, the band expands their sonic palette with a wide range of influences, from soulful pub rock to melancholic sophisto-pop. As Pitchfork noted, The Tubs see jangle as ‘an immense world full of moods and muses’, and ‘Cotton Crown’ showcases how they continue to explore that world.
